Last summer, I had the opportunity as the only Tecnológico de Monterrey student to be part of Instep, Infosys’ Global Internship program. The later which has been recognized, for the second the year in a row as the World’s Best Internship Program.
For a total of nine weeks, I interned at Infosys Headquarters in Bangalore, India. Where I had the opportunity to meet and work along with so many wonderful people who belong to ICELTS (Infosys Centre of Emerging Technology Solutions). My team was in change of the development for the new version of the Infosys Chatbot Platform named NIA.
Our goal as a team, was to re-design the user interface for the platform and to achieve the best UX practices and heuristics. During my internship, I was mentored and lead by Vishal Machanda and wancha mehta both wonderful leaders that taught me more about the latest and emerging technologies.
I was able to travel to different parts of India such as Chandigarh, New Delhi, Agra, Varanasi among others, and experience the culture very closely.
Infosys didn’t juts offered me an opportunity to develop my skills, it gave me a life experience in a personally and professionally way.
After this experience, now I have a new vision on how to apply my IT skills in a diverse and multicultural team.
